From 2001-2007, I championed the active involvement of young people in the work of UNESCO, in all its program areas of education, culture, communication and sciences. Specifically:

• Increased memberships of UNESCO Clubs and Associated Schools Project Network (ASPNet) to more than 50 selected schools, colleges and universities.
• Prepared Terms of Reference which included close coordination with the Commission and appropriate use of UNESCO visual identity (logo) for their respective projects and activities.
• Endorsed and supported the participation of Filipino youth in UNESCO’s projects and initiatives (e.g. attendance to conferences, nomination to awards and prizes, etc.).
